Design Intent- Our designers were looking to create a comfortable boat for a couple or small family to spend time aboard. It had to incorporate a private stateroom, a full service galley and a spacious head with shower. Other parameters included low maintenance, great sea keeping abilities and economical operation. The Hull- When they were looking at different hull configurations, our naval architects looked at a multiple of designs and settled on the venerable lobster boat, the workhorse of the New England fishing fleet. Speed, comfort and economy are all present in the Pilot® 34 hull. The single engine version carries a keel and sandshoe for full prop protection. The twin version sports prop pockets for reduced draft and a more efficient driveline angle. The Cockpit- Versatility is the theme of the Pilot® 34. Whether your interest is in fishing, diving or just hanging out, there is plenty of space in the cockpit and bridge deck to handle it all. Stowage is something you can never find enough of and the 34 does it’s best to amaze you. The helm is positioned for perfect visibility and there is plenty of space for all your electronics. Engine access is fast and easy even with the twins. If you opt for the Pilot Sedan, you’ll receive a solid hardtop complete with safety glass, lights and grab rails. This is real weather protection. The Cabin- Comfort is important and Mainship takes it seriously. Below you’ll find a spacious salon with a solid cherry table surrounded by rich Ultraleather seating and fine cherry wood bulkheads and furniture. This luxurious dinette also converts to a queen size berth. To port, a fabulous galley complete with all the appliances is covered with a genuine Corian® counter. Forward is the private master stateroom with hanging locker, drawers and additional storage. Even the standard TV/VCR can viewed from the berth. Aft, next to the companionway is the head. Included is a shower, linen storage and a Corian“ topped vanity, plus its easy to clean and in a convenient location.
